The University of Kashmir has officially announced winter vacations for its affiliated private colleges located in the Summer Zone of Jammu Division.
According to a notice issued by the Office of the Dean College Development Council (DCDC) on December 27, 2025, these institutions will observe a 10-day winter break starting from January 1st.

End Date: January 10, 2026
Applicability: This order strictly applies to Private Sector Colleges affiliated with the University of Kashmir that fall under the summer zone in Jammu Division.
Instructions for Staff & Administration
While the break is for students/academic sessions, the university has issued strict guidelines for the staff and college administration:
Staff Availability: Both teaching and non-teaching staff must remain available in the college on days of inspection (if any) during the vacation period or whenever required by the college administration.
Library Access: The college libraries must remain open throughout the winter break to facilitate students.
