The Government of Jammu and Kashmir, through the General Administration Department (GAD), has issued an official order approving the promotion of Section Officers as Under Secretaries in the J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service–I.
The promotion has been sanctioned on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and the J&K Public Service Commission (JKPSC). The order has been notified vide Government Order No. 73-JK(GAD) of 2026, dated 16 January 2026.
As per the order, the promoted officers will serve in Pay Level-8 (₹47,600–₹1,51,100), with effect from the dates mentioned against each officer.
